Meal Account Update
Based on Senate Bill 423 and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), students shall not be denied a meal within seven days after the meal account reaches a zero balance. Therefore, starting on Monday, October 2, 2017, if your meal status is a:
• PAID STATUS: And your child incurs a negative meal balance of $25.20 or more, they will be given an alternate meal.
• REDUCED STATUS: And your child incurs a negative meal balance of $4.90 or more, they will be given an alternate meal.
You also have the option of sending a home lunch with your child. If your child has a negative meal balance, please remember to deposit money into your meal account by Friday, September 29, 2017. Please make a deposit by using a Meal Prepayment Envelope and submitting it to our school office (cash or checks payable to the Department of Education) or make a deposit online at parentonline.net.
